i just thought id post an interesting quote about ethics and advertising, which i found quite thought-provoking.
"What is the difference between unethical and ethical advertising;? Unethical advertising ues falsehoods to deceive the public; ethical advertising uses truth to deceive the public."
Vilhjalmur Stefansson, anthropologist, (1879–1962)
sums it up pretty well actually.

Unfortunately, although Mr. Stefansson told a funny joke he is not entirly accurate. Ethical advertsing can and does exist, but very rarely. Ethical advertising truthfully conveys the compelling reason that someone should do business with one company over another one.
